December 17, 2008 changed my life forever. A year later, December 20,2009 we celebrated our first born, Gabriel Thomas May, turning one....Winter ONE-derland style! I have been told over and over again to cherish the moments with Gabe because they go by so fast. I would smile, nod my head in understanding, but never fully grasped the truth in what people told me! Having a child changes your life but until you hold your child in your arms for the first time, you really don't get that statement!
With Nathan and I, being parents has made our lives more rich with love, compassion, and laughter! Don't get me wrong there have been moments of tears, frustration, and asking myself what I have gotten myself into?!?!
However, seeing our son surrounded by friends, his parents, and his MeMaw May to celebrate his first birthday a very real thought came to me. I knew that having Gabriel is one of those life experiences that I would not change for the world!
So here is the party and what a GREAT party it was! I chose the theme after much thinking searching the internet. I stumbled across a blog Everyday Celebrations and found the theme I wanted to do. I planned for a few months, fell in love with The Dollar Tree all over again, and baked my first homemade cake. We were to have the party at the clubhouse but because of unethical workers at the clubhouse, we ended up having the party at home. So gonna let the pictures speak for themselves!!
